Erin Darling is an illustrator in watercolor and ink from Tacoma, WA. The Affectionate Animal Series illustrates vintage photographs of real people. Many of the couples featured are queer people from history. The artwork for this card is based on a vintage photograph from Trent Kelley’s Flickr stream “Hidden in the Open: Photographic Essay of Afro American Male Affections.”
